Spekk-verse rules/history

Everyone has a Spekk Form except mortals (and those Earthlings who some how find a connection). Each connection is uniformed with the rest of their planet (Earth is always the exception).
Every world has a Planetary Spektral Genetic Core (Spekk Gene). Some world's Spekk Gene may have been destroyed by man, but every world has or had one. Except Earth.
Earth is a majority mortal world with a few lucky souls who can connect (with what they are connecting to is currently a mystery to the rest of the universe. Those few who do connect are not expected to have a Spekk Form. (What is so special about Earth will be discovered.)
One must be in their Spekk Form to be able to use their connection (except half Earthlings: Halflings). Halflings are capable of using their connection outside of their Spekk Form, though it's not as strong.
Everyone needs oxygen! No one can breathe in outer space (even while in their Spekk Form) without equipment, such as a spacesuit or a spacecraft.
Magic is not real. The only real form of power is one's connection.
Time Travel is not possible. Even connections that allow time travel never interfere with time. It is as if they never went at all when they travel back to the present.
